Need-Based Financial Aid

High Meadows School is committed to providing enrollment opportunity to qualified students from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and to providing financial aid to students who could not otherwise attend. All financial aid awards are based on demonstrated need; no merit scholarships are awarded. We offer need-based financial aid to qualified families with children in five-day Pre-K through Eighth Grade. Approximately 15% of our students are supported by need-based financial assistance.

Our financial aid program is designed to bridge the gap between what a family can afford to pay and the full cost of tuition. Financial aid qualification is determined utilizing guidance provided to us by School and Student Services (SSS), a confidential third party we utilize to process financial aid applications and help the financial aid committee to objectively assess a family’s ability to contribute toward educational expenses. According to standard practice, all household income is considered when determining financial need. Aid awards are determined by the financial aid committee based on the demonstrated need of the applicant and the capacity of the financial aid budget in any given year.

Families interested in exploring financial aid possibilities should submit their completed PFS financial aid application for the 2024-25 school year no later than Friday, February 16, 2024. Supporting tax documents (see below) must be submitted no later than March 1st, 2024. Financial aid qualification will be evaluated only for families who have also completed the application process for school admission. Applications submitted after this date will be considered only if funds remain available.

Financial Aid Application Steps

1. COMPLETE THE PARENTS' FINANCIAL STATEMENT (PFS) APPLICATION

Complete and submit the PFS online using High Meadows School code 3854. If you have problems with the PFS, contact the Customer Service Center for Parents at (800) 344-8328 or sss@nais.org. If you are a returning parent and you completed an online PFS application last year, then use your email address and existing password. If you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot my password.” The online SSS application fee of $55 is payable via credit card.  All applications must be submitted via the online process.

The PFS comes with a Required Documents Cover Sheet. Use this when sending in additional documents to SSS. Due to the number of documents they receive, documents sent to SSS without the cover sheet will not be processed.

2. SUBMIT YOUR TAX FORMS

Upload or mail a copy of your 2021 and 2022 taxes (including all schedules) and W-2 forms to School and Student Services. As part of the online PFS process, parents now can upload tax documents and W2s directly to SSS. For mail, send documents to: SSS by NAIS, PO Box 449, Randolph, MA 02368-0449. For overnight mail: SSS By NAIS, 437 Turnpike Street, Canton, MA 02021. Do not send tax documents to High Meadows School.

The PFS comes with a Required Documents Cover Sheet. Use this when sending in additional documents to SSS. Due to the number of documents they receive, documents sent to SSS without the cover sheet will not be processed.

If you have any questions about the process, please call SSS customer service at (800) 344-8328 (Monday-Friday 9am-8pm EST; Saturday 9am-4pm EST).

Families will be notified of their financial aid qualifications in April 2023.
